Warren Smith loses prized cricket memorabilia in fire 1992

In 1992 one of Wagga’s best known cricket identities, Warren Smith, lost prized cricket gear and memorabilia when a fire gutted his backyard shed.

As reported in the Daily Advertiser Mr Smith said “it would be impossible to put a real value on the contents as most of the cricket memorabilia was  irreplaceable.

I had limited editions of signed photographs, bats signed by ex-Australian Test cricketers including a bat signed by Sir Donald Bradman….”
