25 years ago Sergeant Terry O’Connell was featured in the Daily Advertiser outlining an initiative of the recently formed “Wagga Beat Police” to visit all Year 9 students in Wagga.
Terry went on to promote the concept of Restorative Justice something he first used with young offenders in Wagga.
Terry has promoted Restorative Justice all around the world and today is director of Real Justice Australia, a division of the International Institute for Restorative Practices (IIRP). His work has been featured on “Australian Story” and elsewhere.
