World War I veteran, Mr Ted Drake who was also the first school captain at Wagga High School in 1916 attended a morning tea at the school hosted by principal, Mr Joe Allan.
Mr Drake presented a copy of the book Fighter Squadron Bomber to Mr Allan for the school library and was in turn presented with a school tie and captains badge. After tea, Ted was persuaded to pose with current school studnet officers (left) Alison King (vice-captain), Ben Collis (captain), Trudy Tickner (captain) and Chris Merrigan (vice-captain).
