Roller Skating – Audrey Headley

Roller skating in 1910 taken during a “white Night”, costume and fancy dress Carnival which was held at the Wagga Skating Olympia situated in Kincaid Street, near the junction with Fitzmaurice Street. On this occassion, Mrs Greer and Mrs Dunn together with their partners took out first and second prizes respectively.[CSURA RW5.408]

Following service in World War One, Audrey Headley married Ruth Blake in 1921; and a daughter, Margaret, was born in 1925. He died tragically on December 9, 1925 at the age of thirty-four, after a train crashed into his car as he was passing over the level crossing at Shepherd’s Siding hurling him several metres away from the track.
