In the early months of 1934 an old Waggarite, Mr Lindsay Powell, had a series of articles published in the Daily Advertiser, which consisted of his memories of the town back in the 1880’s.
In 1991 John Winterbottom transcribed the articles and they appeared in the Society’s newsletters, over a number of editions.
These articles were recently combined into a single PDF file in order to be more readily searched, and that file is now available on the society’s web page.
