Klub Kapooka

Klub KapookaKlub Kapooka was established in the 1950’s in Baylis Street, Wagga as a recreation centre for Kapooka soldiers.

Archdeacon S. J. West offered the Army the use of the former Empire Hall at 230 Baylis Street which was owned by the Church of England for eighteen months, free of rent, and it was renovated by volunteer army labour. (Photo – Courtesy of Sherry Morris)
