‘Hunters’ is one of Wagga’s most well known and longest lasting businesses, having been in the same premises since 1872.
Ted Drake goes back to school 25 years ago
World War I veteran, Mr Ted Drake who was also the first school captain at Wagga High School in 1916 attended a morning tea at the school hosted by principal, Mr Joe Allan.

The furniture retailing firm of RG Nesbitt opened for business in rented premises at 102 Baylis Street, Wagga, in May 1910 and has operated in the city ever since, making it one of the oldest continuing businesses in the city.
