- Trevor Forbes, Mike Laurent and Ian Cohalan who have played together for 20 consecutive years celebrated their win in the Wagga Touch Association over 30’s competition, their ninth success in 11 premierships contested.

- Huthwaites are advertising a Formal Wear Hire Service in the Daily Advertiser with Men’s Dinner Suits available from $7, Bows for 40 cents and White Gloves for 40 cents.
- MDC plain and flavoured milk is now available in new non-returnable cartons.
- Wagga High School students, Lew Butcher and Brian Lawrence have been selected in the NSW schoolboys open rugby league team to tour Queensland.
- City Engineer, Mr C Knott has been directed by Wagga City Council to prepare detailed plans for the development of a 100-acre industrial estate on Hammond Avenue.
- A Victorian meat industry representative was elbowed and punched when he banned 53 pens of sheep from export at the Wagga Saleyards.
