- Edmondson’s opening specials include 60-foot garden hose $1.60, a metal wheelbarrow for $5.50 and eating apples, ten for 30 cents.
- President of the Wagga Historical Society, Mr Keith Swan has appealed to Wagga City Council not to enforce the removal of the post-supported verandah around the Union Club Hotel.
- About 50 friends attended a 21st Birthday Party for Mr Lindsay Swan at the Koala Motel.
- Deputy Premier, Mr C B Cutler announced the appointment of the interim council for the new Riverina College of Advanced Education with Wagga dentist, Peter Hastie to lead as chairman.
- Wagga Chamber of Commerce President, Jack Skeers said he was concerned at the lack of support members were giving to the Chamber.
