- More than 200 people attended a farewell dinner for Bill Reid, the former Director of Catholic Education in Wagga.

- RVN-2 personality, Isabel Angel took part in the investiture of captains at Mt Austin Primary School. Captains are John Bush and Vanessa Fone with vice-captains, Michael King and Gaye McKeown.
- About sixty people attended a twenty-first birthday party for Mr Peter Duff at Bevel’s Restaurant.
- Hundreds of wild ducks have taken refuge on Lake Albert since the opening of the duck shooting season.
- Trinity High School captains, Vincent Cattell and Christine Bunyan were presented with their badges by Wagga Mayor, Ald R J Harris.
- Graeme Whytcross is pictured in the Daily Advertiser cutting his twenty-first birthday cake at the North Wagga Hall watched by his parents, Mr and Mrs K Whytcross, Miss Helen Everitt and Roslyn Whytcross.
- Rev. Fr. Norman Duck has moved to Leeton and was farewelled by Ashmont and San Isadore parishioners who also welcomed their new parish priest Rev. Fr. W. Fulton and his assistant Rev. Fr. V. Kiss in the Ashmont Church Hall.
- A meeting to form an auxiliary to support NSW Bush Nursing Centres was held at the home of Ald (Mrs) H Frisby.

- Mrs M Harris, president of the Gumleigh Boys’ Home Women’s Auxiliary received a cheque for $107 from acting president of the Wagga Women’s Bowling Club, Miss A Edyvean.
