Twenty five Years ago hams prepared by Knights Meats as prizes for the lucky wheel competition are a very popular attraction at the annual Carmelite Springtime Fair.
Other attractions at the Fair are home-made cakes, afternoon teas, competitions and children’s amusements. There were free balloons for the children, who could also have their faces painted.
A special dawcard in 1992 was the first edition of the Carmelite cook book.
Our picture from the Daily Advertiser shows Michael Knight and Knight’s chief pork butcher, Kevin Oakman getting the hams ready for the Fair.
