Peter Brown, well known local insurance broker and member and benefactor of the Wagga Wagga and District Historical Society was photographed by the Daily Advertiser at the Wagga High School Prefects Ball in August 1966.
The Ball was held at the School and was attended by 200 people. The Ball was an annual event organised by the Prefects and attended by senior pupils of the school, the teachers and their partners and friends.
A highlight of the evening on this occasion in 1966 was the prefects’ dance which consisted of a Jazz Waltz and a La Bomba.
The school captain, Patricia Chapman presented sprays to the wife of the principal, Mrs W. C. Atkinson and to the girls Superintendent, Miss M. Field.
