Wagga’s volunteer fire brigade was formed in 1880 with Alex Bolton as captain and was initially based in Baylis Street before moving to Morrow Street and later to The Esplanade in January 1927. This early photo shows the Wagga Fire Brigade in Morrow Street during the 1925 flood. Morrow Street was leased to the Returned Sailors and Soldiers Imperial League of Australia (RSSILA) in 1930. The building is presently occupied by Sunflower House.
