The Wagga Wagga Express newspaper from 1930 to 1939 is currently being digitised by the National Library and will be available to the public through Trove www.trove.nla.gov.au/newspapers later this year or early 2016.
This has been arranged by Wagga Wagga and District Historical Society with the generous support of the State Library of NSW, Wagga Wagga City Council and the Charles Sturt University Regional Archive.
When completed this will mean that all available historical Wagga newspapers will be available through Trove with the exception of the Wagga Wagga Express and the Daily Express over the period 1919 until 1929. Unfortunately there are also a number of missing copies over this period so if anyone knows of any old newspaper collections from this period it would be great to hear from you and fill in the gaps before we digitise that period as our next project.
