During World War II he was a machinist with AWA and worked for some time at the Daily Telegraph. In 1955 he moved to Wagga Wagga and worked as photographer for the Daily Advertiser for 20 years.
This set from the Powerhouse Museum contains selections from the archive of his commercial photographic studio in Drummoyne, NSW. The negatives are largely of balls and dinners held in Sydney, but also include weddings, funerals, work events, parties, portraits, pets, fashion, horse races, and various places and events in Sydney.
An extensive collection of his work (photogaphs and films) during his Wagga period is also held at the Charles Sturt University Regional Archives at Wagga Wagga
