“The Old Hume Highway: History begins with a road” – new publication
The Roads and Maritime Services has recently published a self-guided tour book titled, “The Old Hume Highway: History begins with a road”, with the assistance of the Royal Australian Historical Society and some of its local affiliated societies. Affiliated Societies who contributed to the publication will be receiving a copy in the mail.
This is an excellent publication and one that I am sure all members will find most interesting. Highly recommended. Congratulations, and thanks, to the RMS for this significant publication, which will be appreciated by local history and family history researchers, along with the many tourists and travellers that traverse this historic route.
