- Robyn McGraw, “lollipop lady” at the Forest Hill Public School pedestrian crossing fears a child could be killed outside the school unless motorists start to obey traffic rules.
- Wagga Golf Club announced a reduced but sound profit of $54,175 for 1993 with Club president, David Byfield announcing that improvements to the clubhouse costing $200,000 should be completed by mid-June.
- Long-time manager of the ANZ bank, South Wagga branch, Noel Bottrell, has retired and been replaced by John Gray.
- Underdogs, Kooringal Colts crushed Lake Albert with a convincing 115-run win in the Wagga and District Cricket Association grand final.
- Middle order batsmen, Peter Creighton and Matthew Ward guided Lake Albert Maroon to a comfortable win over Kooringal Colts in the Wagga and District Cricket Association under 16 premiership.
- Honor Kells has been elected president and Evelyn Gerahty and Nancye White as vice presidents of the Wagga and District Ex-Servicewomen’s Association.
- Concerned Morgan Street residents including Jenny McKinnon have opposed a Council proposal to upgrade the street to a sub-arterial road.
- The 46-year-old proprietor of the Grandview store was bashed unconscious and robbed at his Turvey Park store.
- Cargill Foods general manager, Douglas Eden announced a $20 expansion of their Wagga plant.
- John and Maria Egan are pictured in the Daily Advertiser with Flight Lieutenant Kim Peckham attending a cocktail party at Wagga’s RAAF Base.
- The Red Steer Hotel Motel will feature “The Rebels” motorcycle Show and Concert.
- Life member, Ann Paul presented the Wagga Swimming Club’s award for best club member to president, Tony Fletcher.
- Mt Austin High won a “scrappy” opening round University Shield match against Kooringal High School 34-16.
- A new accountancy practice, Ashton, Slattery Byrnes has been established with the merger of the chartered accountancy firms of Ashton and Slattery and Stephen J Byrnes.
- The James Morrison jazz quartet performed at the Civic theatre after earlier staging an impromptu concert upon their arrival at Wagga Airport.

- Wagga Doctors welcomed the coming end of honorary medical services in NSW public hospitals describing the current system as antiquated.
- On the eve of his overseas tour, Mrs P Bosman presented Member for Wagga and Minister for Mines, Mr Wal Fife with an opal tie bar on behalf of the Wagga Lapidary Club.
- A 45-year old Wagga man was fined $40 and had his licence suspended for seven days following an accident involving three cars in Kincaid Street.
- Edmondson’s stores in Gurwood and Bourke Streets have No 7 chickens for $1.15, Kraft Cheddar cheese 8oz for 21 cents and Heinz spaghetti or baked beans 16oz for 13 cents.
- Teachers at Wagga Public School have uncovered the school’s original foundation stone laid by NSW Chief Justice, Sir Alfred Stephens in 1871.
- Foundations have been laid for a new 72-bedroom accommodation block at the Wagga Agricultural College.
- Trevor and Monica Burnett have taken over the Wagga Shell Auto Port at 357 Edward Street.
- A 16-year-old apprentice fitter at the Forest Hill RAAF Base who allegedly kicked a man unconscious was given a suspended sentence and a $50 two-year good behaviour bond in Wagga Children’s court.
- Two six round bouts and extra preliminaries have replaced the ten-round bout as the main attraction in this weeks boxing program at the Leagues Club.
- Local members, Mr Peter Morrow and Mrs Nancye Rew will ask the Liberal Party’s Wagga branch to seek the support of local federal and state Members of Parliament to bring a natural gas pipeline through Wagga.
