- Ansett and Kendell airlines announced an upgrade of regional air services in Wagga and Albury which would create more than 30 jobs and increase the number of weekly flights to Sydney.
- McDonald’s Australia Chief Executive, Charlie Bell paid a visit to Wagga’s two McDonald’s restaurants including McCafe Wagga which was the first McCafe restaurant to open in NSW.
- Wagga farmers and gardeners are hoping for rain to prevent March 1995 being the driest March on record.
- President of the Wagga branch of the Labor Party and defeated Labor party candidate for the seat of Wagga, Col McPherson declared he would become the “shadow member for Wagga” until the next election.
- One of Riverina harness racing’s finest sulky builders, Albert (Buck) Edward Enos Harmer, also known as “Showground Buck” and “Buck the Gig Man” has died at the Loreto Home of Compassion aged 84.
- Norma Richardson successfully defended her championship singles bowling title at the RAFC Bowling Club.
- The new BMW 316i Coupe was shown at a BMW Compact event at Thomas Bros Prestige showroom.
- In his “Editors Desk” column, Daily Advertiser editor, Michael McCormack called for the introduction of “first past the post” election voting.
- Mark Pottie, David Font, Rob Clack, David Nicholas, Valerie Monteith, Rodney Smith and Don Pollard were elected to a steering committee which will seek to bring part of the Wagga Tumbarumba railway line back to life as a tourist attraction.
- Wal Mitchell won the singles championship for the third consecutive year at the 38th Annual Limbless Soldiers Bowls Carnival held at the South Wagga Bowling Club.
- “Kamala”, a historic residence at 64 Gurwood Street was sold to a local buyer after being passed in at $262,500 during an auction conducted by Peter Davies Professional’s Real Estate.
- David Byfield and Joyce Redman have been elected as life members of the Wagga Golf Club.
- Front end loaders were used to help Wagga firefighters combat a fire at Laminex Industries.

- Simon Terry has been appointed Chief of Staff at the Daily Advertiser, replacing Geoff Dixon who is now public relations officer for Nabalco at Gove in the Northern Territory.
- Miss Australia1970, Rhonda Iffland, was given a warm welcome at a Mayoral Reception hosted by Deputy Mayor, Alderman Gissing.
- David Jones are advertising vacancies in their Food Hall for junior male assistants with pleasant personality and initiative.
- Mr Donald Piper has been appointed as manager of the Bank of NSW in Wagga succeeding Mr H J Davidson who has been appointed regional manager of country branches at head office.
- Joyce Blackadder, Denise Foley, Rod Chapman, Pamela Hoey, Peter McCulloch, Deborah Braines and Ron Gibson have been chosen by Wagga Rotary Clubs to receive Rotary Youth Leadership Awards.
- Sharon Harris and Peter Gissing represented Wagga City Council and Peter Duff represented Rover Scouts at a reception for young people with the Royal Family at the Trocadero in Sydney.
- The Home of Compassion Race Meeting is raising funds for their new home building appeal.
- Kentucky Fried Chicken is advertising for new staff, male and female, senior and junior, permanent Part-time and casual for their new store at 174 Fitzmaurice Street.
- Wagga motel managers have been forced to turn away hundreds of visitors during one of the city’s busiest ever Easter periods.
- Miss J Putland and Miss J Holloway, representing Wagga Quota Club presented a cheque for $100 to the Wagga Inter-Church Action Group represented by Mr Geoff Hull and Norma Donald.
- Edmondson’s are advertising CSR pure cane sugar 4lb for 39c, Golden Circle Beetroot 15oz tins for 11 cents and Kellogg’s Cornflakes 16 oz packets for 32 cents.
- Council’s industrial promotion offer, Joe McManamon said that forty students from New England University are making an intensive study of Wagga’s growth since the Second World War.
- The Kooringal Methodist Ladies Church Aid organised a fete on the corner of Paul and Stanley Streets at Kooringal. Schedules of competitions held in conjunction with the fete were available from Huthwaites store at Kooringal.
