- Captain Ross Brown of Wagga’s Salvation Army said the final total raised in Wagga’s Red Shield Appeal this year was expected to be more than $26,000 exceeding last year’s total by $6,000.
- Council is considering an $11.6 million civic centre development to include a new administration building to include a massive library, art gallery and exhibition complex within the current Northside Shopping Centre.
- Members of Wagga’s Baha’i community are celebrating the faith’s 150th anniversary and the 10th anniversary of their Wagga community.
- Constable Laurence Richey said that Wagga police were investigating incidents over the weekend in which rocks were used to smash windows in at least eight cars in Wagga streets.

- Wagga’s Mayor, Ald R J Harris and secretary of the Wagga Tourism Promotion Committee are hoping for a spectacular expansion of Wagga’s tourism following their recent visits to Sydney and Melbourne.
