· The Police Crime Prevention Service demonstrated a closed-circuit TV system to Wagga detectives describing it as a new mechanical crime prevention device which has virtually wiped out shoplifting in trials to date.
· Murrumbidgee Ambulance Superintendent, Mr. L G Rees and President, Mr. Morris Gissing accepted a metal cutting power saw presented to the ambulance service by Wagga Quota Club.
· More than 100 members and guests attended a special dinner of the South-West Slopes Law Society which was addressed by Australia’s Chief Justice, Sir Garfield Barwick.
· The Interact Club at Wagga’s Catholic Senior High School has donated a radiogram to the Gumly Boys Home.
