- A Toys Place resident is quoted in the Daily Advertiser saying that it is only a matter of time before angry Tolland residents form vigilante groups to combat youth crime in Tolland.
- Chris Schmidt, Council manager of Economic Development and Council consultants addressed a meeting of almost 100 residents crammed into a room at the Red Steer Hotel about the suitability of land at Bomen for further industrial development.
- Police seized 112 cannabis plants and 328 grams of cannabis weed with a street value of $234,000 from a glasshouse and roof cavity of a central Wagga home.
- Co-managers of Romano’s Hotel, Daniel Moore and Mark Bolton have won an Australian Hoteliers Association award for accommodation.

- Wagga business houses, Huthwaites, and David Jones are confident of higher Christmas trading figures this year after solid early trading and good figures over the last few shopping days.
- The Daily Advertiser is now available from Humphrey’s Newsagency in Manly a service which last year proved very popular with summer holidaymakers from the Riverina.
